In NSW, if a business is installing, repairing, or removing windscreens or other glass from a motor vehicle, the business must obtain a Motor Vehicle Repairer's Licence. Additionally, any tradesperson who is running or employed by the business, should have a Tradesperson Certificate. This requirement came into effect from 1 March 2022.
Here at Top Marks Windscreens, we were thrilled to see this requirement come into effect in NSW. We saw all too often the impact of an unregulated industry through calls to repair jobs that were completed incorrectly, resulting in quality and safety implications for the customer. Customers now have the added peace of mind that comes in dealing with a fully licensed business and tradesperson.
Top Marks Windscreens is fully licenced under the Motor Vehicle and Repairers Act 2013 as a Motor Vehicle Repairer, Licence Number MVRL59773. Mark also holds a Motor Vehicle Repairer Tradesperson Certificate MVTC176773. You can rest assured that you are in good hands with Top Marks!
Our advice to customers when shopping around for a windscreen repair or replacement is to ensure you book a repairer who is fully licensed. This way, you know you are working with someone with the necessary skills and qualifications to complete the job properly.
